1927 – Vermont’s Anniversary

January 14th, 1927, The Poultney Journal – To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Vermont’s Independence, the town of Poultney put together a large program of “Music and Addresses” held at the Town Hall. Music ranged from “To Thee, O Country” to “Speed Our Republic” and the addresses included The First Settlements in Vermont and Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys.
