1919 – Victory Loans in Poultney

April 21st, 1919, The Poultney Journal: On April 21st, 1919, A US Military tank corps of 12 units drove through town to gather Victory Loans from Poultney residents. It was a means to pay for the great costs of WWI, which had ended in November of the previous year. See original news clipping.
